
Shivam Thakur Won gold and silver medal on Malaysia
Union Sports Minister congratulates Shivam Thakur, resident of Greater Noida, for winning gold and silver medal Noida. Sports Minister Kiran Rijuji on Tuesday congratulated Shivam Thakur and said, "Shivam Thakur has brought laurels to the nation." Shivam played for the country at such a young age and got the country 1 gold and one silver medal in junior category. Now Shivam will participate in the World Games to be held from 1 to 7 October 2020. Shivam Thakur will be honored with the Khel Gaurav Award on August 15 and the Student Ratna Award. Shivam Thakur originally hails from Bihar and lives with his mother and father in Kuleshara village in Greater Noida. Kiran Rijiju said, At such a young age, Shivam Thakur has worked hard to take the School Games and Activity Development Foundation to a national body internationally. Shivam Thakur is the first Indian player to have such a big idea. There is a lot of happiness in his house and his village after Shivam winning the medal. Shivam dreams of getting a medal in the Olympics. He also does county shooting at international level for many countries. Shivam Thakur won the Gold and Silver medal at Indo Malaysia International Championships from 8 to 12 February at Kolalampur.
